Update on Monty Hall’s Great Escape

Further to my posting on 2 March 2009, I have read at Keith and Rachel Jackson’s blog, it appears that Monty Halls is to spend some time experiencing a Hebridean winter, which will show the harsher aspects of crafting. I was hopeful that they might consider filming for a whole year, to show the hardships of living as a crofter. After all, “Great Escape” was filmed during an unusually sunny summer on the West Coast and was as much a travelogue as an idealised view of crafting.

I look forward to this new series and wish Monty well. I’m also kind of hoping that Keith and Rachel feature in this programme, too. This couple have managed to run a successful croft, and have knowledge and experience that could only enhance a programme on the subject.
