This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day in Australia.  Unfortunately, I won’t be there to share it with the four women in my life who should be honoured on this day.  I would like to take my mother, my stepmother and my two grandmothers out to lunch and present them with tokens of my affection and appreciation for the influence they have had on my life.   None of these women have had an easy life and certainly, for each of them, motherhood was hard work.  

Mothers are often overlooked – the work they do, the support they provide, the hours they devote to others, all of which is done without pay, without thanks and with love.   So, to all four of my mothers, I wish you love and a relaxing and peaceful Mother’s Day.
